SNL Shakeup

Wow! Can SNL really afford to loose Amy Poehler? Well, we all know that the answer is NO but it's still going to happen...

Amy's about to take Maternity Leave but rather than return after the birth she's officially given the word that she's not coming back.

Her Hillary Clinton impersonation rose to new heights with last weeks opening skit: Amy as Hillary and Tina Fey as Sarah Palin ~ it was FANTASTIC and is being considered an instant classic. If you haven't seen it yet you really must! [click here for link] She will be missed by many I'm sure...

& PS: Happy Birthday Amy!!!

Transitions...

Summer is clearly turning into Fall

Weird weather is happening - foggy cold mornings turn into warm summery afternoons

Work is exhausting, frustrating and wearing me out

I feel tired all the time and think it's because I'm not working out enough (aka: at all) and because I've had this cold that just won't go away

In general feeling out of sorts......

And to top it all off when I got home I found that my pet ball python has passed away....

Off to Vegas... DVR's all set

This weekend MTV is airing the 2008 Video Music Awards. What’s odd about this is that MTV doesn't *show* Video's anymore so I'm surprised that they are still having this awards show at all.

Now, if they want to have more Real World / Road Rules Award shows and start some Rock of Skank, Flavor of STD's, etc., Award Shows that totally makes sense considering what you can readily find on MTV these days.

That said I'm still recording the VMA's so I can watch the 2 hour show in about 40 minutes as I fast-forward through all the crap I don't want to see when I get back home next week.

VMA / Britney Rumor:
So after last years Britney opening the rumor I heard is that Britney is opening the 2008 VMA’s. (Not that she can outdo her amazingly awful performance last year) I heard today that she’s going to be entering on an Elephant. Guess its MTV’s way to tie in the elephant (in the room) commercials they’ve been showing with host Russell Brand….

9021OMG it was awful!

US Magazine.com reports: The return of 90210 was a coup for the CW network: Tuesday night's two-hour episode was watched by 4.9 million viewers, making it the highest-rated scripted series premiere in the history of the network, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Among coveted viewers aged 18-40-years-old, the show tied with the premiere of CW's ratings champ, America's Next Top Model.

Sadly I contributed to these high ratings, although my TV is not a Nielson-Rating-TV, but still I wasted about one hour and 35 minutes (thank goodness for my DVR!) of my evening last night to watch the premier ep of the revamped and updated 90210.

It was just sooo bad & the 'Vicious Circle Blog arch' was a really bad version of Gossip Girls gossip network. I won't be tuning in next week.....

Monday

Ever had one of those days.......?
ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S ACTUALLY A TUESDAY THAT FEELS LIKE A MONDAY ~ ACK!

Guiltiest Pleasures

Gossip Girl is back! And it's by far my guiltiest of pleasures these days!!! It's too, too yummie and fully of pretty people being mean and doing awful things (practically all the time) ~ I just can't get enough!

And to fill out the rest of this week, which full of guilty pleasures, are two more new fall shows to watch...

Although I'm not yet sold on the *new* 90210.... I was and always will be a fan of the original ~ I started watching it from the very begining (in the SFSU campus apartments while my roommates studied for their Friday morning classes - I had my Fridays open) and was a fan straight off. *It's also didn't hurt that I liked Luke Perry's Dylan McKay's wanna be James Dean look.

So, while there is clearly some diversity (finally) in this 18 years-later-spinoff, and some of the old regulars are on board to reel us original fans in (I think) I'm waiting to make my final decision.....

But I know I'll definitely be watching ANTM cycle 11 this week - I'll save my Project Runway ep for another night since this week is a 2 hour premier (don't call it a season, gurl!)

Here is my pre-episode model choice per the request of M.M.

Lauren Brie is my choice prior to watching the anticipated train wreck of the get to know them episode, which I always LOVE to watch! I just had to pick the girl with the cheesy name - get it Brie?! Cheese! hahahahaha ;^P
